Rangiora RSA

The existing RSA premises had served its members loyally for many decades, but it was well-overdue for an upgrade and extension. This involved a complete refit – including all services, a new outdoor bar and dining area, as well as a significant new extension to the sports bar area.

The building also required extensive strengthening to the existing structure, to bring it up to the new building code. This project was broken into 2 stages, to enable the RSA to keep trading in one area while the construction team worked in the other. This has worked extremely well for the RSA, as they were able to keep trading to keep their income stream alive.

Due to the strong collaborative relationship that was built between the client, the consultants and the building team, we were able to overcome the many challenges uncovered during the project. Fortnightly site meetings involving all main parties was key to this, and highly effective.

We are extremely proud that this project won a Silver award in the New Zealand Master Builders Commercial Projects Awards – Retail Section 2019.
