Hamptons ITM, Ferry Road

This well-known Christchurch business had outgrown its existing building and was looking for a strong construction partner to carry out the work. RPC won a very competitive tender on both pricing and its methodology around staging.

The project required earthquake repairs and a redevelopment of the entire site: demolition of some existing buildings, new warehouses built, and the existing buildings refitted and strengthened.

It was imperative that the business continued to trade throughout the duration of the project. To enable that, the programme was broken into two stages.

The ITM and RPC management teams worked closely together to set up progressive access, zones and pathways for staff, subcontractors and ITM's customers. Good communication was the key, and the relationship led to ongoing work on other projects.
